WHO CAN REFER SOMEONE TO THE MEADOWS?

The Meadows welcomes referrals from psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, case managers, EAPs, insurance companies, managed care organizations, MH/MRs, children & youth, probation, friends, family members, self-referrals, and clergy. Referrals are confidential and can be made by anyone. The Meadows does not discriminate in accepting anyone because of ethnic or national origin, race, religion, disability, age or gender. WILL MY INSURANCE COMPANY PAY FOR THE SERVICES?

The Meadows is a Preferred Provider for most HMO, PPO, and Managed Care plans. The Meadows also accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield, most Indemnity Insurance plans, Champus, Medicare and Medical Assistance for both voluntary and involuntary admissions. As health care coverage and reporting requirements vary greatly, please let us assist you or your client in determining important benefit information.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO THE INPATIENT FACILITY?
  • Casual clothing, including sneakers

  • Overnight personal care items (including shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste)

  • Insurance card and ID

  • Small amounts of spending money (vending machines are available on grounds)

  • Stamps and stationary

  • Phone card

  • Current medications/medication bottles



THINGS TO LEAVE AT HOME:

  • Electronic devices including: MP3 player, cell phone, radio, etc.

  • Books or magazines

  • Weapons (i.e. knives, razors, guns)

  • Drugs/alcohol

  • Credit cards or other valuables

 

IF I HAVE A PROBLEM ON A WEEKEND OR IN THE EVENING, HOW DO I CONTACT THE MEADOWS?

The Meadows is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Center is staffed around the clock with behavioral health care professionals. Individuals and families are provided immediate and exceptional access to behavioral health professionals by telephone or face-to-face. The Center provides assessment, evaluation, level of care determination and referrals to community resources based on clinical need. Call 1-800-641-7529.
 

WHO HAS TO KNOW ABOUT MY HOSPITALIZATION?

Only the people you authorize will know about your hospitalization and these people will receive only the information that is necessary for them to continue your care or to give you support once you are discharged.

HOW LONG DO I STAY?

Your time in the hospital depends on what your individual needs are. Your individualized treatment plan focuses on what can be accomplished in the shortest periods of time. With this as a foundation for progress, you can continue treatment in an outpatient setting.
